map control, expand & towers. vs tanks make cata and let it @ home, vs rider tower is enough. Some ppl prefer to creep, i prefer nonstop fight against lame.

scout and prevent more than one expansion (no, that's not hard). get as much map control as you can (zoning with buildings -preferably towers- and being always active with your units, rest will come naturally).
countering riders is extremely easy, build your base properly. as for tanks, countersiege actually works.
all in all in a base focus everything boils down to who the smarter player is. if you always lose against it, you're probably just dumb.
