Hey guys, ive decided to start a riddle section in this forum for those of u that r interested. If u dont know what a riddle is ill give a small explanation: Basically its a question i give u and u have to answer it using ur brain . The idea is to test ur mental capabilities and also showing off and having fun. I will start with a relatively easy one, if u guys show interest ill make em harder and better with the time.
RIDDLE #1: What is the beginning of heaven and hell? _________________ True story.
RIDDLE #2: There is a great king in a far away country. He decides to make a big celebration for his upcoming birthday, in 3 days. For this occasion he has 29 barrels of wine. The problem is, one of the barrels contains a poison that kills the person in 2 days. The king has 5 slaves who's lives are disposabal. How can he find the barrel with poison before the party? _________________ True story.

It means that they can die theyre "not important" u can use them to find out what barrle has the poison. but how exactly? _________________ True story.

I don t think this is the solution that s on your mind, but i can think of one that could work.
The only presumption that is necessary is that the poison kills the person exactly in 48 hours. (as you wrote IN 2 days, not BY 2 days). So the most simple solution would be to devide the total number of barrels into 5 groups ( 6, 6, 6, 6, 5) , each set for one slave, and make the slaves drink a sip of each barrel every hour simultaneously. That means, the first hour each of them would taste the first wine, one hour later all of them would taste another one from their set and so on...) If the poison worked in 48 hours exactly, according to the exact time of death you would know which barrel contained the poison. Besides, only one person would die hope it is understandable.
Very inovvative, ur on the correct path, unfortunately ur mistaken. Or to be exact, IM mistaken. its not in exactly 2 days, rather within 2 days. Therefore ur answer is incorrect. But ur thinking, which is the point of this. Keep trying, im sure ull get it.
If by tonight noone has the answer, ill give the answer without providing any "points" and move on to a third riddle, also a fun one! _________________ True story.

I think I ve figured it out each barrel would by tastd by different combination of people. If the slaves were A, B, C, D, E, ...then the barrel number 1 would be tasted by A, the second one by B, the third one by C and so on ...than the different pairs would start...AB, AC, AD, AE, BC, BD ...(that is 10 pairs)...then trinities ABC, ABD, ABD, ..(that is 9 trinities) and then groups of four (ABCD, BCDE, ABDE, ACDE ...4) ...the total number of possible tasting combination is 28 (5 individuals, 10 pairs, 9 trinities and 4 groups of four) . According to what combination of slaves would die, you would know which barrel is toxic. If nobody died, then it would be the only one that wasn´t tasted. easy...
