I would like to respond to both of you but at first I would like to apologise for my bad english.
So...
HB: Im sorry, but its stupid to compare warcraft 3 and league of legends. If you really want a comparison then you should focus at DOTA and LOL concept.

About maps: There is dota rumble (1 way in middle) and classic dota map (you can find tons of updates, but the map itself is practically the same).
I have played Roc dota for about 3 years, Tft dota for 1 year and now I have switched to LOL.
4 buttons for monkeys (as you say) are useful because I dont have to run with my fingers across the keyboard to use my spells asap. (I could say that according to YOUR oppinion are indirectly even players who use customkeys in W3 monkeys... etc. heroes spells are usually hidden in QWER)
LOL is more agressive than dota, you can reconnect to game If you have disconnected due to temporary network outage, you have your own account and you can boost your stats to make your heroes better and so on.
But each game has - ... And it includes LOL. There are imbalanced heroes (no doubt) in both games (DOTA and LOL). The only thing which is making them more imbalanced in LOL (etc. trynda) is that you dont lose your gold If you die...
I had to get use to worse graphics and so on.
Im sorry, but I was working whole day and Im tired as hell so I won´t continue with comparing these two games.
Everyone of you has the possibility to try them both out and compare them on your own. Then you will make your own opinion

and dota is better than LoL according to wat... 95% of the players?
LoL takes no reflexion and takes no skill, again it was designed for monkeys (casual players if yu will) to get into it.
it's also a very wannabe-addictive nerd game that purposingly has very little complexity and that's risklessly working on an already-successful concept -dota-. only good point is that it's free.
